Sunny October Morning

...it was a gorgeous, sunny October morning here yesterday! What a glorious time to sit on the patio and catch a few sun-rays with my morning-coffee...
It's peaceful in the early hours of the day...before "life" grabs a hold of you and drags you this way and that... My advice to you? Well, don't always let it drag you around, we need some time for ourselves, to gather our thoughts, get inspired by the smallest of things and simply just letting our "souls dangle" for a tiny moment does absolute wonders for us! :-)

I wish all of you a peaceful week...enjoy this time of year - it's beautiful!

It was such a lovely, cold day here today...such a perfect day for dreaming, for quiet thoughts to reflect on months gone by...so I thought I would go out, take a few pictures and share these moments with you. Meet Basti

Hello, my name is Basti...actually it's "Sebastian Blackbeard". You see, I'm a regular pirate...I will steal anything that isn't nailed-down. Well, I used to, before I woke up from my nap yesterday and found, I couldn't move my hind legs anymore.

Naturally, my human companions took me to see a doctor, hoping they could help me...but even after seeing two doc's, the diagnosis was bleak...I'm a paraplegic. What IS that? Or more to the point: "How could this happen to me, after all I did, was to take a nap in the sun?"

Don't get me wrong, I'm not sorry for myself, but I wanted to share my thoughts with you, in the hopes that you might have an answer for me. "Will I get better?" ...or will I have to remain like this and completely adjust my life to this burden?

I do get a lot of attention, but then again, I guess I always did. :-) Yeah, it must be my adorable face! Nobody can ever stay angry with me for long....not even after I bury little bits and pieces (or should I say baubles, hahaha).

The thing I miss the most right now, is digging HUGE holes in the yard....I just love the expressions on my human friends faces when I complete my various excavations. :-) ...but they always "destroy" my handiwork, by filling in all the holes....strange.

Well, my friends, I will keep my spirits up and work very hard at getting better! "High 5"

A new love....

Since it worked so well with the video/slideshow yesterday, I put a new one together for you...but this time with my new love in the starring role....Silver Clay!

I adore this medium for various reasons, but the main reason would have to be its versatility...there isn't much you can't create with it...from brushing it on leaves to draping and layering it over cork, as well as sculpting.
So you can see why it is a designers dream.....

Good advice and friendship

This is my first blog-entry EVER! Thanks to my friend, who gave me a good dose of much needed advice this morning. :-) Sometimes we all need the proverbial "kick in the behind" and lucky for me, this one was via chat and didn't hurt at all, hahaha.

I wish all of you out there a friend like this....someone whom you've never met, but who can change your outlook on life and helps you without asking "what's in it for me".

There aren't many people like that in the world, so treasure them when you find them...or when they find you!
